Zucchini doesn't want to grow
Tell me, who has encountered this problem - I have planted zucchini 4 times already - different seeds, in different places. But they don’t want to grow at all, they bloom beautifully and the leaves are ripe green, and the zucchini looks like some kind of dwarf...
In general, zucchini is very unpretentious; the most productive and easy to process are Gribovsky and Beloplodny. Maybe you took small-fruited zucchini, although my zucchini grows like a good log. and also, next year do not plant zucchini in the same place - they grow very poorly
The first reason why zucchini doesn't grow is too much moisture.
The second is excess heat.
Third, when planting it was necessary to enrich the soil.
Fourth – the root is damaged. Are your zucchini leaves wilting? Maybe something damaged the plant.
I had this problem when I overfed the soil with manure and ash. The zucchini was fattened, everything turned into powerful tops, there were very few ovaries, and even those grew poorly. But the bushes grew huge.
I also had problems with zucchini. I planted several bush plants. For them to grow well, the soil should not be acidic and the plants love sunlight; trees should not shade them. In addition, you need to treat the bushes against aphids, they directly eat the zucchini leaves.
In our area, there are no aphids on zucchini. But from the second half of August they are attacked by a 28-spotted ladybug. This creature completely destroys any garden vegetation; it even gnaws large zucchini with woody skin.
Fortunately, we don't have ladybugs. In my opinion, zucchini grows poorly in our area due to the slight acidity of the soil. In addition, some trees in the garden slightly shade these vegetables during the day and, due to the same trees and bushes, the garden is poorly ventilated, i.e. in the summer it is very hot there. At our dacha, the zucchini have no problems and grow very well with minimal care.
Our zucchini always grows well, except if, of course, they are planted in the shade. Despite the fact that these are zucchini, they also need to be watered, maybe they just don’t have enough water, like most plants in the summer.
On the contrary, zucchini should be planted in the sun and it is not necessary to water them often; if the summer is not dry, then watering will be minimal. They grow wonderfully at my dacha, but at home in the garden they grow very poorly. I think it's all about the acidity of the soil. I'll try to check it out this year.
Of course, zucchini is unpretentious. And if they don’t grow for you from different seeds and in different places on the site, then the problem is in the soil. They don't like the soil, there's something wrong with it. Try planting several seeds in different places, fertilizing the soil with different fertilizers.
Our zucchini too, in the garden near the house, grow poorly, but in the dacha they grow just fine. Moreover, we planted them in different places where there was space, but everywhere the zucchini grew poorly. Most likely, the acidity of the soil is increased.
