Syrian hibiscus.
I’m a beginner gardener, I’ve recently become interested in flowers. I really liked garden hibiscus, so I decided to try growing it on my own plot. The first year I couldn’t get enough of it, but this year it’s blooming much more modestly. Can anyone tell me how to properly care for it?
To achieve good and frequent flowering, you should not only grow and feed the plant correctly.
The plant forms buds on young shoots, therefore, the more there are, the more abundant the flowering will be. In order for the hibiscus to produce more of them, the plant is pruned 3-5 times a year.
And this usually happens with purchased flowering plants - you buy everything in bloom, and the second and subsequent blooms are much more modest if the plant survives. Probably, for sale they are fed very, very strongly with something so that they bloom, like in the picture.
It is necessary to prune the plant every year, this has a beneficial effect on its flowering, remove dried and fading branches so that the plant does not waste its juice and strength on them.
