Which is better, seedlings or seeds?

Good day to everyone, dear colleagues!
My wife and I recently purchased a plot of land and now, when it’s already warmer, we are going to plant it (including gooseberries)
At the moment, the question arose before us - is it better to buy seeds of these berries or seedlings? Which of these is easier for a novice gardener to grow?
We will be very grateful for your answer! Good luck to everyone in their gardening endeavors!

Gooseberries are grown very well by layering, or cuttings, but no one plants them with seeds. For layering, tilt one branch to the ground, fix it in this position and sprinkle it with soil in one place. The cuttings will take root, they are separated from the bush and transplanted to a new place.

I think that with the right approach, you can grow a good harvest from both seeds and seedlings. But in the second case, doing this is less costly in terms of effort and time. In addition, it is also worth considering what exactly you plan to plant. Some plants are not planted with seeds. For example, we decided to buy blackberry seedlings by mail, and they grew beautifully at our dacha. If you also want to diversify your garden with new varieties, you will be interested in looking through their catalog.

Gooseberries are grown by layering, but nothing will come from the seeds. Both in terms of frost resistance and varietal qualities. If you dig one branch, then roots will form in this place and you can plant gooseberries.

What is the need to grow shrubs from seeds? That's a lot of years to spend! You'll be tormented with them. The seedlings are not that expensive, and they are sold everywhere. Why not buy it? This is actually the first time I’ve heard about seeds.

Gooseberries reproduce not by seedlings, but by layering. One or several gooseberry branches from different sides of the bush are pressed to the soil with a metal pin. From above, near the bush, pour a little soil onto the branch. When the cutting takes root in this place, it is cut off from the bush and such a small gooseberry seedling is planted in another place.

I want to share my experience. In my opinion, seeds are best. In addition to the usual apples, pears, etc., you can grow kiwis, tangerines, and cherries without any problems. My surprise knew no bounds when the first fruits appeared) I bought them on the website for a promotion (a kilogram of tangerines costs more than the seeds), and they bear fruit for about a month! I advise everyone to try it)
