Black currants should be planted in quiet and well-lit places, the distance between bushes in a row should be 1.2 - 1.5 m, and between rows 1.5 - 2.0 m. If, however, plant black currants in one row, then it is better to plant it next to the fence.
My blackcurrant row forms a border with the neighboring plot. We don't have a fence. But this is in a sunny place, and the currants do well. The harvest is large, the berries are large.
The main thing is not to plant currants very densely in one row, otherwise the harvest will be quite low. In addition, you need to regularly remove old branches, otherwise there will be very few currants.
I beg to differ, because my blackcurrants grow very thickly and in one row. The distance between the bushes is 50 centimeters. And the harvest every year is simply excellent.
