Warts on felt cherries - what kind of attack is it and how to deal with it?
Some growths resembling warts appear on the leaves, and sometimes on the berries, of felt cherries. And although the tree bears fruit well, this misfortune haunts me. Does anyone know what this problem is and how to deal with it?
These are ordinary galliums. The cherry tree has been infected by pests. Only they can carry the disease.
There is only one way to fight it - heat treatment. In spring and autumn, when there are no leaves, the buds are treated with hot water or steam. Chemicals are powerless in the fight against galls.
