Anemones

Last year I planted anemone tubers before winter. In the spring, none of them sprouted and I couldn’t find them in the ground, maybe they rotted. Who has this beauty growing, tell me how you planted it, with seeds, tubers or as an adult plant? which way is better?

Anemones are bulbous plants, so it is better to plant them with bulbs. You did everything right. I think you just got low-quality seed material.

They do not have bulbs, but small nodules. I planted them in the ground only in the spring so that they would not freeze. I bought another plant with foliage. All have taken root and have been blooming for several years now. But planting seeds is too complicated in my opinion.

Unfortunately, I also have a negative experience. I tried to plant tubers in the spring, but they did not grow. I bought it in a regular store, I sin that the planting material may be of poor quality, the tubers are too dry. I didn’t know what they should look like ideally.

I agree that tuberous plants are best planted in the spring rather than in the fall. Then they will take root. And if you plant it in the fall, the plant may simply freeze.

I bought anemone tubers “mix” in an online store and planted them in the spring. They bloomed all summer, one at a time. The next year, only one sprouted.

I planted anemones twice... both in spring and autumn. Only one season, out of 20 pieces, three bloomed and none of them sprouted... I don’t know what I did wrong..

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t grow them.I bought them already sprouted, they even bloomed in the spring, but unfortunately for some reason not a single flower grew the next spring.

The flower is quite whimsical, loves light and warmth. Therefore, it is important to find a place on the site where there is no draft. I plant mature plants, they bloom perfectly, but about half survive the next year, so I have to replant.

We bought already grown plants in large plastic buckets, and even taking into account the fact that the replanting was done with native soil and undamaged roots, nothing took root! And it's terrible. The plant is very expensive.
