Caring for remontant raspberries

This extended ripening allows you to enjoy fresh berries for a longer time and make preparations as you pick them.
Caring for remontant raspberries
- Watering
Raspberry is a moisture-loving plant. On dry days, regular watering is required, but it should not be excessive, since prolonged stagnation of water leads to the death of small roots.
- Loosening the soil.
It should be carried out within a meter radius from the bush, to a depth of no more than 7 centimeters. Mulching with peat or humus will help retain moisture in the soil.
- Top dressing
Mineral fertilizers should be applied starting from the second year after planting, simultaneously with mulching and loosening.
- Weed control.
In addition to weeds, excess shoots and root shoots are cut off from raspberries. This helps to increase the quantity and quality of berries.
