Alpine currant

One of the decorative types of decorating your garden or personal plot is currant, it is an ornamental bush, up to 2 meters tall, it is not picky about the choice of soil, it can grow on rocky areas, it is resistant to weather conditions, winter-hardy, and shade-tolerant.

Its decorative types are very diverse. One of these species is the alpine currant, of the gooseberry family, the leaves of this species are very small, densely located on the shoot, it cannot boast of bright flowers, as American currants and blood-red currants can do. The flowering period is 10 days, the fruits and berries are red and look colorful against the green background. Berries can decorate the bush in summer and autumn; it is propagated both by seeds and by layering and cuttings.
Due to the shape of the leaves and the fact that they are small in size, the bush lends itself well to shaping; any shape can be made from a bush, not to mention an ordinary ball; hedges are made from bushes, both single and in combination with other shrubs and trees.
Another big plus is that currants are healthy and tasty!
