Mexican ageratum - decoration of any garden

Ageratum Mexicana is an annual plant, grows up to 40 cm tall, fluffy flowers with a variety of colors.
To get ageratum planted on your site, you first need to grow it as seedlings. To do this, the seeds must be sown in the spring, optimally in late March - early April in seedling boxes. Shoots can be expected within 7-12 days; the temperature for germination should be +20-22 degrees.
It is necessary to form a fluffy bush of ageratum in advance: for this, pinching is carried out over 3-4 real leaves of the plant.
Neutral soils are preferable for the growth of ageratum; they should be nutritious, but light. Seedlings are planted in a permanent place in the garden in late May - early June, when the threat of night frosts has passed.
If you plan to make a bright color accent from ageratum in a flower bed, then plant 3-4 plants at once in one hole when planting.
Transplant ageratum mexicanis if necessary, it can even be in bloom; it will not shed its flowers. It also tolerates pruning well, re-grows very quickly and is capable of flowering. Therefore, you can form beautiful fluffy plants from it to your liking.
Caring for ageratum is not difficult and includes watering, weeding, loosening the soil around the plants and fertilizing with complex fertilizer every 7-10 days.
It is only worth noting that it would be appropriate to fertilize the ageratum before flowering, as well as after you have pruned it.
Ageratum is suitable not only for growing outdoors in flower beds, but also in balcony boxes.
