Coffee
A cup of aromatic freshly brewed coffee will certainly brighten up any leisure time spent at the dacha or in the garden. However, not everyone knows that it is not at all necessary to throw away the leftover coffee, since coffee grounds can be useful as fertilizer, for mulching and for other purposes.
Firstly, leftover coffee will help in the fight against pests, among which ants occupy the first place. By adding residues to the soil, it acquires a looser structure, which ants don’t like much. The thicket also has a similar effect on snails. These are already important reasons due to which the coffee grounds will be useful, and the cup of coffee you drink will be even more tasty and invigorating. We should not forget about such pests as our pets – cats, both our own and our neighbors’. They really don't like the aroma of coffee, so they will stop using your area as a cat litter box.
Coffee residues will be a wonderful organic fertilizer for plants. Remember to use coffee grounds when planting your carrots and you will notice that your harvest will be free of black spots. Given the great benefits of coffee grounds, always collect them in a bag after the coffee is finished and the liquid part has been drunk.
